Helpers of God's Precious Infants

The Helper's of God's Precious Infants are a group of people committed to maintaining a loving and prayerful presence outside, of the abortion mills where God's children are put to death. We unite ourselves with these victims in solidarity with their pain, as they are put to death at this modern day Calvary. We pray in reparation for the injustice being performed on their tiny bodies. Just as Mary and John lovingly stood and prayed beneath Jesus' cross as he died, we wish to remain with these children in the hour that they were crucified.

What Can You Do?

Humanae Vitae

Humanae Vitae (Latin "Of Human Life") is an encyclical written by Pope Paul VI and promulgated on July 25, 1968 (read the full text of the encyclical here).Subtitled "On the Regulation of Birth", it re-affirms the traditional teaching of the Catholic Church regarding abortion, contraception, and other issues pertaining to human life. Mainly because of its prohibition of all forms of artificial contraception, the encyclical has been controversial.

In 2008, 40 years after the encyclical, Pope Benedict XVI called this topic "so controversial, yet so crucial for humanity's future." Humanae Vitae became "a sign of contradiction but also of continuity of the Church's doctrine and tradition... What was true yesterday is true also today." The Church continues to reflect "in an ever new and deeper way on the fundamental principles that concern marriage and procreation." The key message of Humanae Vitae is love. Benedict states, that the fullness of a person is achieved by a unity of soul and body, but neither spirit nor body alone can love, only the two together. If this unity is broken, if only the body is satisfied, love becomes a commodity.

"Humanae Vitae gives a beautiful vision of what God's design for married love is. It's to be both life giving and love giving," Bill Boomer (Dept of Marriage and Family, Cleveland Diocese, USA).
