Winter Warmer Collection
Clothes, Bedding, Towels, etc
25/26 May at all Masses
Dear Fellow Parishioners,
This weekend we will be announcing our campaign to collect Winter Warmers for The Vincent de Paul Society.
In the past 2 years we have approached you for your support and your generousity has been boundless. Once again we turn to you to help those less fortunate than ourselves from the bitter cold of Winter by donating clothes, bedding & towels.
Who We Are Helping
All donations will go to St Vincent de Paul Society at St Anne’s Parish in Steenberg. They serve the communities of Steenberg, Capricorn, Lavenderhill, Overcome Heights and Seawinds, which have many desperate & destitute families suffering from high unemployment, drug abuse and gang warfare.
The St Vincent de Paul Society is a world-wide Catholic charity that focuses on alleviating the lives of the poor and destitute. Its mission is to help such people in need.
How Does It Work
- 4/5 May – Announce and Launch Winter Warmer Campain
- 25/26 May – Collection at all masses over this weekend
Please pack all articles in your donation in large plastic bags or equivalent for ease of handling. Also please make sure that everything is in a good state of repair and clean as we do not have the resources to mend and clean items.
- Clothing – jackets, shirts, pants, jerseys, socks, slacks, dresses, blouses, etc. – any clothing items.
- Bedding – sheets, blankets, duvets, pillowslips, pillows
Thank you in advance for your generousity.
Warm Regards and Blessings
