INTERMEDIATE CATECHISM
GRADES 5 - 7
Our children who are in Grade 5 – Grade 7, follow a home schooling program provided by the church.
We follow the Faith and Life Series of catechism. This program was originally published in 1984 and has been upgraded three times.
Each child is provided with a text book and a workbook and we ask that they work through this text book and complete their work book. We also ask that the parents assist their child where needed and their catechist is available to help out online at any stage.
We try to meet up once a term as a group, so that the children can meet up with each other.
SENIOR CATECHISM
GRADES 9 - 10 CATECHISM
The senior catechism classes aim to prepare our teenagers to live out the Catholic faith in their context and equip them with tools to deepen their knowledge of Jesus and His Church and to grow in their relationship with Him.
The material we are using is called Chosen, published by Ascension Press. Our lessons entail prayer, short videos and small group discussion.
GRADE 11 - CONFIRMATION
This Confirmation class will be taught by Fr Robert.

Child Safeguarding
As Child Safety Officers in Constantia parish for a few years, I together with Lara Collanini would like to assure you that our parish and parish council takes Child safety very seriously.
Lara and I are responsible for ensuring all personnel are familiar with the Archdiocese’s regulations regarding Child safety. This would entail a workshop educating the new personnel and ensuring that they obtain a Police Clearance certificate. We also conduct a yearly audit which details those personnel who come into contact with children in our parish and how many have not yet received a Police Clearance.
We also ensure that posters are visibly displayed in the church and where possible procedures are followed so that our children are protected.
